We are going to calculate the area of various types of triangles. Before we begin, we will look at how triangles are classified by their angles and/or sides.
Regardless of the type of triangle, all triangles have the same formula to calculate the area. You will need two important pieces of information in order to calculate the area of triangles:

(1) The base of the triangle and
(2) The height of the triangle
