Least Common Multiple (LCM)

Objectives:
  • Determine the least common multiple of two or more numbers.

What is LCM?
LCM stands for least common multiple. Given two or more numbers, the least common multiple is the smallest number that is a multiple of each number. 

Finding the Least Common Multiple of Two Numbers:
We can find the least common multiple of two or more numbers by listing out the multiples of each number. We will compare the lists together and find the smallest number that they have in common.

Finding the Least Common Multiple of Three Numbers:
We can also find the least common multiple given more than two numbers. In the example below, we are given three numbers. We will follow the same steps by listing the multiples of each given number.
